attached at the feet
attached until i float
attached then not at all

the creaking of bones?
the grinding of teeth?
the paper on paper whisper
of a moth’s wings?
I’d say you’re more penumbral than umbral in this one, especially when it comes to your “caterpillar-soft double,” which is a most wonderful image!
