a ripple through fecund soil
crawl with my belly against a warming mother
so warm i hear my pores open
welcoming the sunlight like a friend
long-forgotten

I really love this one, Crow.
Hey, Betty,
Thanks for saying so. I’m glad it spoke to you.
I became the lizard. Both sensually and visually. Magic poem!
Just don’t eat the bugs.
Glad you told me in time…. (crawling off to look for some chocolate….)
