stars these stars are not your stars
you look elsewhere for light
now you are laughing, smiling
you eyes are lit from within
here the sky darkens later
it is the same darkness

I love the paradox and Petrarchan reference. Absolutely fantastic poem.

    Yes. Usually it’s three lines, but Western version frequently break them into six. Which I read. I thought it was cool. A little like a haiku, a little like a sonnet, a little like a song. But still short.
