i misread the signs
and altogether missed
the portents
slept through the ominous
omens and peculiar
prophecies
the rain of blood
should have been
my first clue
and i suppose the swarms
of frogs and locusts
and locust-frogs
might have hinted that
something
was up
but i was busy
holding your hand
so the end of the world
well
let’s just say
it could wait
Nicely written
Thank you.
My pleasure

Focus and perspective are everything! Love this!
Thank you!
I’m sorry I missed this one, a real gem, a beauty of a piece my friend
Well it seems you found it all right! 😀Thank you for your kind words!
I’m so glad I didn’t miss it entirely as this is a beauty – a real beauty
Thank you. That’s very sweet of you to say.
All very deserved and true my friend x
I love that love can put the world’s ending on hold. 🙂
It’s the one thing that can.
❤
Awwww!!!
Cavity inducing?
Very. Almost too much – and then I told myself off for being an old cynic!
Ha ha. I had to do the same thing while I was writing it.
I’m glad you didn’t fight it. It’s a wonderful counterpoint to some of your other darker works.
