conversing heart (20170214)

you are an
explosion of blood
in my chest

you the flames licking
at the bones of my ribs

whoever painted cupid
as an insipid
arrow aiming toddler
was never in love

you are a piston
in my heart
keeping me alive
giving that four-chambered muscle
a reason to contract

  1. Smiling I am….you are so right! Cupid is not a toddler with limited strength and eye-hand coordination pulling back on a little bow and arrow. Love is definitely much more than that! LOVE this approach to the prompt! 🙂

  2. That’s some passion! Love it, especially those lines:

    ‘whoever painted cupid
    as an insipid
    arrow aiming toddler
    was never in love’

  3. you are a piston
    in my heart
    keeping me alive
    giving that four-chambered muscle
    a reason to contract

    Inspired!❤️
