Words and Feathers 
I’ve never heard of someone else standing with ears cupped! Pointed at the sea… pointed at wind in the leaves. Like looking at the night sky with a pair of binoculars… a million more stars revealed.
I was trying to block out some sounds and realized I was just trading one kind of noise for another. I don’t know if I could embrace real silence even though part of me wants it.
Ahhh. I sometimes cup my ears to hear things more intensely. Silence. Yes, the concept versus the reality… maybe not in this body.
