separate neatly skin from muscle
more finesse required than i offer

inspection perhaps retaliation
are these bones robot parts
unfinished machines sensitive to
heat pain inflammation
infection inflection
the dictionary squeezed
until only ashes drift down
ashes like snow
ashes like dehydrated tears
