trees shaken by breezes
in summer when shadows
are crisp
in fall
when clouds hide
our other selves
books opened
favored passages
corners dog-eared
your love
in spring when belief
is easy
in winter when the leaves
are moldy memories stuck
to shoes
——
I do love those favorite books… Yes that’s autumn.
Loved the rhythm in this.
Thank you!
Great last lines. 🙂
Thank you very much!
This was great…in summer when shadows

Lovely verse.
I’m glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for stopping by.
My pleasure.
Leaves for every season! Beautifully described.
Thank you!
I LOVE “memories stuck to shoes.”
At first I read it “memories stuck in shoes,” which I also love. I am not fond of anything but flip flops, and a few weeks of winter here in Southern Nevada require real shoes. I always feel “stuck” with them. 😉
Thanks so much. And thanks again for the prompt!
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous !! ❤
Thank you so much!

Love the different types of leaves.
“moldy memories stuck to shoes” is a great line!
Thank you!
Your poem has a bit of Walt Whitman swinging there in those glorious leaves. The flow here is melodic and draws me in. Superb!
Thank so much. I love Walt Whitman.
I was so intrigued by the clouds hiding our other selves and the way you have woven all of the seasons into your poem is lovely.
Thank you very much!
I love that last line
Mine too. I kind of wrote the whole poem around it.
